ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY


Partners and employees are instructed to ensure projects for which they are responsible continue to comply with environmental standards. List is set below.

 

-We undertake to act in accordance with good environmental practice.

 

-Waste products will be closely monitored and materials will be recycled where possible with waste being removed by licensed contractors only.

 

-We will use CFC free products wherever possible.

 

-Consideration is given to the surrounding environment including the neighbours and plant / wildlife

 

-Partners and employees co-operate with environmental issues and to ensure best practice is followed.

 

-Our paper is sourced from sustainable forests.

 

-The Partners monitor compliance with environmental issues which will result in an improved environment with pollution levels reduced in the areas where we work.

 

 

 

When involved in any project hear at Chimp Creative we follow the following guidelines:

 
•Virtual design : wherever possible we ensure that our designs are created, sent and stored virtually to cut down on printing and transportation costs.

•Incorporate Eco-friendly products : All of our products and materials used are sourced from good, UK, ethical, and eco-friendly businesses, www.continentalclothing.com, www.bwrp.org.uk, www.roberthorne.co.uk.

• Incorporate Recycled Materials : we always consider using recycled materials in our work, any offcuts of material used on projects is stored and reused.

• Sustainable Packaging : When designing packaging, we consider both how much space the product will take up both on shop shelves and to transport.

• Sustainable paper : Our stockists 'the Robert Horne Group' for paper and other similar products are FSC approved, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative these certified papers are environmentally responsible.

• Recycle : all cans, bottles, paper…

• Ink cartridges : Our printer uses a bulk feeder system that reuses the same cartridge and can be refilled instead of replaced.

• E-Cycle : We E-cycle all our unused and broken electronic components.

• Diluents & Thinners : We use recycled thinners, and dispose of waist appropriately.

• Mailouts : Reuse packing materials for shipping (bubble wrap, popcorn, cardboard boxes)

• Offset Carbon Emissions : Through ClickGreen (each email ad you receive from them and click on earns you carbon credits.)

• Diluent Disposal : Dispose of artist chemicals (turpentine, mineral spirits, varnishes, paint, etc)     safely through our local waste management…WE DO NOT dump down the sink or toilet.

• Eco Art Supplies : Source biodegradable & environmentally safe chemicals and art supplies.

 

• Anti-aerosol : Avoid using aerosol sprays and adhesives by using an air compressor.
