NHS | INTERIOR DESIGN - DATA BANKING UNIT

An innovative new ward was introduced to the university hospital in fazakerly, operating as the first of its kind it's main purpose is to process patients information via a huge scanning unit. This unit applies a new method of data storage, converting the old paper documents (containing patients data) and converting it into digital files that can be banked on the internal computer. This offers a multitude of advantages to the hospital and the environment.

The working environment within the scanning unit was quite bland and required some internal artwork that would be; visually uplifting and a reminder of the environmental purpose the ward offers. Working to a tight deadline we created and installed this art piece around this theme, the  abstract landscape depicts the process of recycling for a better future. To keep the artwork itself in tune with the environmental advantages, 80% of vinyl used to create this piece was taken from old off cuts and recycled application tape.
